To upgrade cb 1.91 to cb 2.10 went ok, i disabled or unpublished, cb subs and cb plugins that were not core plugins and any other extension/plugin that integrates into cb. I upgraded using 2.10 cb package. Ran the cb tools and they fixed any problems that happened with the database. I installed the new version of the cb plugins that are compatible with cb 2.x. All data was still there and I could register new user, forgot login worked, edit profile, send user email etc.
I then upgraded cb subs from 3.x to 4.0 stable version. everything still tested ok. It was when one clicked on a protected link by integration extension by url part is when I enocuntered a problem. it was protected and brought up the registration form and etc as it is supposed to. What has stopped working is the forgot login and registration form. I have turned on all error reporting and etc. no errors are displayed.
I have disabled/unpublished cbsubs. I did not do a backup in between cb update and cbsubs update. I will do that next time.
I am working on cloned of site going through all of the steps so I can make sure it will go smooth when I do live site.
Only problem i can find right now is forgot login and registration do not work as you fill it out and then it seems to trigger something (as in doing what it is supposed to do) and then instead of message (such as check your email or error no email address found kind of message) it goes back to page. same thing for registration form. It is still a problem with cbsubs being unpublished/disabled and also any addtional cb plugins. I have stepped through turning them off and it did not fix the problem of forgot login and registration not working.
My plan is to do the steps again on new clone of website and test all aspects and as each plugin gets installed test, then upgrade cbsubs and then enable/publish cbsubs 4.0 then test registration form with cbsubs plan etc.
Any suggestions of what might be causing forgot login and registration for cb to not work?
I really do like the newer versions of the software and appreciate all of the work the cb team has done on all of your products
