[SOLVED] Privacy settings to hide contact information from public view

Kyle, thanks, I changed the following settings as you advised but my profile on the public artist list remains unchanged and still displays the street address, the test line I have been adjusting as we work on this to hide specific fields from public view. Attached are four screen shots including "pre-change" settings, new settings and the way the profile content continues to display on the public view list. It seems something is still missing?

Additionally, CB > Configuration > Moderation >"Moderators View Access Level" was at Registered and has been changed to Administrator for now.

Have reviewed your install. It's not working because CB Privacy within CB > Plugin Management was set to Registered. This meant the plugin didn't load at all for Public users and thus couldn't hide the field. I've changed it to Public and confirmed it's working fine now. Please also confirm is working fine.

You'll notice the Profile Privacy setting is also working as expected. It will properly remove users from the userlist and prevent direct profile access. So you may need to make adjustments to Profile Privacy for your users if the results are not what you were expecting.

Kyle, yes, that fixed the problem and I am able to make the newly needed adjustments to the user and fields controls to achieve the results I want.

CB worked nicely for our Joomla 1.5 website, I expected the problem had to be an inaccurate setting I made somewhere. There are many more nice controls that can be set in the new CB version compared to the early version. The tutorials help and info popups help, but sometimes they are not quite clear enough to understand important details.
