Short question: It is not possible to use a list on the CB query field?

Would be easier (also in the future) if I could simply make a CB Query field and then filter on "Not empty". Just wondering if it would be theoretically possible as it would mean that one can avoid all the SQL language for the list.

You can't filter by a CB Query Field. It has no column to filter by. You need to use Advanced filter on your userlist for that and supply the query directly.
