[SOLVED] Registration Error "The words you typed did not match the ones displayed. Please try again." with all captcha plugins disabled was created by rolandfrancis
Using J3.4.4 and CB 2.0.11 nightly build, CBsubs nightly build (both updated today)


in pre-launch testinig, I noticed that CB registration fails, giving the message [Registration Error "The words you typed did not match the ones displayed. Please try again."] Trying to trace the error, all Joomla and CB Captcha plugins were systemically
ENabling CB's captcha seemed to work just fine in all cases, but always the same error.
Trying to use the default captcha/recaptcha didnt work
DIS-abled, also disabled all CBSubsh.
Emptied browser cookies and browser cache, but still same error.
In I.E 10 and google chrome I get a please reload message "session expired or cookies are not enabled"
error reporting set to maximum, no info here.
WITH cb's captcha, the captcha functionality works as it should: if you type the wrong captcha (or do not enter it) it correctly gives "Error: Captcha: Invalid Captcha Code"
But if you do it correcct, then the end result is [Registration Error "The words you typed did not match the ones displayed. Please try again."]

I'm at my whit's end now... help is welcome

CB Captcha is deprecated and replaced by CB AntiSpam. CB AntiSpam provides captcha through a captcha field in CB > Field Management.

I'm sorry you didnt get it. in ALL scenario's the error message was produced, even when disableing every type of captcha.

The problem is caused by the K2 user pluging:
