It seems that when I install the new GJ plugin, all settings are taken over... The problem is that now you have notifications settings in the plugins. These are by default set to NO.
Problem is that I have already 4500 users and the settings I am setting in the backend do not seem to change their notification settings from the default NO to everything (the settings of the old ones were NOT taken over since the notifications settings are now somewhere else) ie no notifications were sent out when I created an event (in the old one, notifications were sent out, in the new one only the admin got notified)
What did I do wrong? Any posibility to solve it quickly?
Update: I can confirm now that the users who have already been using the old GJ 2.7 are NOT getting notifications when I or anyone post on the groups either.
Changing defaults after a notification row has already stored doesn't do anything. The defaults only apply basically for newly joined users (only sets the defaults on user create) as they don't have a notification row. In short mass changing a users notification values is not available, because that's abuse (suddenly receiving notifications the user never consented to).
Notifications are broken at this time and don't send due to a cache bug. They're fixed in next GJ release (probably going to be an RC2).

Yup, some notifications will work. I've fixed all the others for RC2 which should be out probably tomorrow.
