Multiple line breaks are stripped on purpose. Allowing multiple allows page spamming. For example where someone pushes all other content off the page. Multiple line breaks will not be allowed. An editor is also not being implemented to keep things simple (the Wall is comparable to a stream or commenting thread). GJ Wall will actually be replaced by GJ Stream, which will render a CB Activity stream specific to each group directly in the group.
