[SOLVED] avtivity video and photo presence system auto action

Hello CB, having bit of a problem with two similar sites regarding the 'system auto action' publishing of: video, photo (uploads and links) to cb activity.

One shows the videos and photos in cb activity and the other doesn't. It just says: john shared a link 2 minutes ago.

Being system actions and having a look also - they are the same. I checked the tab, cbgallery and there doesn't seem to be any difference or stand out setting that sets them apart.

So wondering what specifically is responsible for the photo or video in the activity post?or would you have any advice for me to help pin this down.

Cb Gallery and Cb Auto actions is latest nightly on each.

Ensure CB Activity is also latest nightly. If issue persists press F12 to open your browsers developer console. Once done click the Console tab and refresh the page. Now check to see if there's any fatal JS errors present that could prevent the media from parsing. Photos should always display fine, but videos can be subject to JS issues.

Thanks Kyle, forgot to mention I had done that too. No errors. Activity already upgraded to latest on problem site.
They're similar sites, same server provider.

The site where it works properly has an older version of cbactivity, I will upgrade that now as I'm writing and see if makes a difference: still works.

I dunno, everything seems to be eliminated, system actions can't be changed without knowing it, same versions, there's no on/off switch. Stuck with it maybe?

Please provide your exact steps to duplicate the issue. If you're uploading provide the height, width, and filesize so I can roughly duplicate. If linking an image please provide a sample source. If uploading a video please provide filesize. If linking a video please provide a sample source.

There shouldn't be any problems with CB Activity media output, but it is for now still using mediaelementjs which is flash based. Next release will be removing it for native youtube iframe output and HTML5 video/audio only.

Thanks Kyle. Got it sorted, fyi, it was allowing links in cbactivity tab!They were still appearing on the cbactivity linked to a menu item, which only moderators could see, which was handy.

Suppose I was more annoyed at not having the choice of how to use it. Back in control now.
