menu tab customization

Hello, I have this question:
I'm making a menu tab with different tabs (set as menu and nested menu tabs (home, about us, gallery...)) and put all in the same position (canvas main middle). I'd like to know if it's possible to format each single tab with a specific customization (i.e., HOME: background-color:red, padding:20px; and ABOUT US (background-color:yellow, margin:30px; font-color:bold;).
I see that in the section new tab, there is a css box (at the bottom of the page) where is possible to put the css class, problably this is the solution, but I did not understand what the file whre to type the css content is. Do you have any suggestion and/or any other solution to resolve my need.

When editing your tab within CB > Tab Management you can use the CSS Class parameter to add your custom css class. Example as follows.

CSS Class: MyTab

Where you put your CSS is entirely up to you, but typically your Joomla template provides a way for a custom CSS file to be loaded and is best added there. Alternatively you can use a template override plugin as shown below to load your custom CSS.
