a) yearly dues (or lifetime)... for the sake of argument, $24/yr Note: this is not tied to any 'specific' access but is a 'club dues' outside of any website functions
Create a CBSubs yearly or lifetime plan with a price of $24. CBSubs plans by default don't protect anything so it'd just be a plan to pay for.
b) access levels to Kunena based on:
i) free first level (basically, if your dues are paid - you get access)
ii) paid second level... for the sake of argument, a $6 one time fee
iii) paid third level... for the sake of argument, a $12 one time fee
iv) administrator triggered fourth level. This is based on real-world accomplishments within the club, but I'd like to be able to have CBsubs handle the access to content.
We protect Kunena access using CBSubs Content and its By URL Part protection, so access protection is doable using that, you can also use view access levels, or usergroups. Your 1-off plans would simply be lifetime subscription plans.
Can this be done and where does a newbie start? I've read through the manual but my eyes glazed over - maybe I need more coffee.
The CBSubs Primer Book covers plan creation and basic configurations as noted above. Read carefully the By URL Part protection information for protecting via URL (you will need to turn SEF off so it's easier to find the Kunena URLs you want to protect). If you want to use usegroups/view access levels ensure you've created your usergroups and you can then assignment to a plan under the Access tab.
