How to send members a message after change of articles

Hi,
What would be a convenient way to automatically send all members, or a group of members, an email message after an article has been edited.

CB Auto Actions can't act on Joomla events. So there isn't one unless you've a 3rd party extension that can send emails on Joomla content events. I suppose you could send an email out manually using the Mass Mailer within CB > User Management.

Would it be possible to use GroupJive for this purpose?

Create a group members that have a subscription to an articcle or a category, and as soon as this article or category contains a changed content, a message to all subscribed members is sent.

I think you'd be better off using a newsletter extension like AcyMailing and subscribing those users to a mailing list then send off the newsletter after you update the article. Don't see how GJ would help you for this usage.
