Ok ... followed your instructions and everything is like your demo site now. This is fine.
Now on the same activity stream issue, we' seen that we have some... "Format Functions" that we can use.
For example we want to show only the first 100 characters of the kunena reply post in the activity stream. Is that possible through the "Trim" Format Function? Where should the "Format Function" be used in the Auto Action [Kunena - Reply]?
Maybe we have understood wrong what the "Format Functions" are for.
If so... can you please tell us if showing just a part of the whole kunena post in the activity stream can be achieved?
The format functions in CB Auto Actions will not be of help here. All CB Auto Actions is doing is storing an activity entry with an asset that's specific to that kunena topic. The actual display of that activity entry is handled in the showTopic function of the below file.
If you only want to show the first 100 characters then your change needs to be done in the template. Again, you shouldn't have to do a single thing to the auto action it self as its job is done (logging the activity).
You can copy the default template, delete every file in your copy except activity_core.php, select your template within CB Activity, and begin making your changes. This allows you to override a single template file.
