Options for integrating CB Connect with an invite-only network

There's no plans for QR invite codes for this release, but is something we'll be looking at for a future release. It's also something you could potentially look into yourself as CB Invites has several triggers you can hook into to extend it.

I am going to implement browser share support though. So the device itself might be able to generate a QR code for you. It'd use the devices built in share features just being fed the invite URL. So that might be good enough for device to device sharing until there's an official QR code implementation.

Completely forgot that browser share was already implemented. Try creating a share link then click the Share button next to it. That should open your browsers share features. Do this on a mobile device and see if it lets you generate a QR code. On Chrome there's a button for me to generate a QR code so should be similar regardless of device.

A new build release of CB Connect is available to prepare for invite only support. Current release of CB Connect registration can't be interrupted and this build release fixes this bug as it's a bug in how onBeforeUserRegistration trigger functions in CB Connect.

CB Invites release should be available Monday. Too close to end of day to release major changes before a weekend. The result though will allow you to have a CB Connect Invite Only site if you want once the new CB Invites build is released.

I won't be able to resolve your QR Code requirement beyond using the built in browser share as that requires either a client side or server side dependency to generate the QR Codes and is substantially more work so that won't be available anytime soon. Browser based however supports QR Code sharing on Chrome and Safari for sure and likely FireFox so that should be sufficient.

Ok, this is now implemented in CB Invites 5.1.0. Within CB Invites > Parameters > Invites you can toggle on Require Invite. This will work with CB Connect (requires latest build release of CB Connect to work!) in verifying they've a valid invite code. Using an invite link will generate a 24hr cookie they can utilize for regular registrations or CB Connect registrations. You can also customize the invite link redirect under the Link tab so you can redirect them to login page for example when they use an invite link instead of to registration if you wanted or to a custom page entirely.
