We inadvertently deleted a user in CB. Because of integration with in-house components, it is important to get that user back with the same user ID.
I restored a recent backup (before the user was deleted) to a test site and exported the user from CB Users.
When I imported from CB Users, it did not use the specified ID but assigned a new one instead.
I tried it with all three import options, and I got the same result.
If this is not possible to do in CB, would a dump of the comprofiler record in MySQL and a reload onto the live site work instead? (and also the Joomla users record)
If you imported through CB > User Management you need to adjust the dropdown before import that defaults to ignoring entry ids. Setting to "Ignore import records with matching ids" should be sufficient.
