I had this working in J3 but it's now missing in J4. I can see "plugins/cbgroupjiveforums/library/Forum/Kunena/KunenaTrigger.php" is supposed to be adding JavaScript to the forum topic page (that adds the return button to active-topics...) , but the JS is definitely not added to the page. Of course, Kunena made a big change to version 6 , so who knows if that trigger works any more.

Yes, CB plugin GroupJive Forums still has Backlink enabled.

Just for kicks, I copied the J3 JavaScript function to my developers console in J4 and it said "cbjQuery is not defined" (same op works fine in J3, but I see no CB JS is loaded at all on that J4 forum page)

The GJ backlink only works for GJ Kunena forum categories. You should see it on the button bar.
