New user registration email and confirmation link [CONFIRM]

1 hour 11 minutes ago #342519 by researchware
We were using HTML in the "Pending Email Body" of the "Registration" tab of the Community Builder "Configuration" menu item that was using the [CONFIRM] substitution (for the user's email confirmation link) as follows"

<a href="[CONFIRM]">[CONFIRM]</a>

We now have a problem where the links (for exmaple fudgerpg.com/cb-profile/confirm.html?confirmcode=reg49aad41bf54f55922b1f11d983f0d2a901899b50 ) gets a
tabe beofre and after it. This created HTML of the form:

<a href="<br /> fudgerpg.com/cb-profile/confirm.html?confirmcode=reg49aad41bf54f55922b1f11d983f0d2a901899b50
">
fudgerpg.com/cb-profile/confirm.html?confirmcode=reg49aad41bf54f55922b1f11d983f0d2a901899b50

Which makes the link in the user's email unclickable. Of course then can still copy and paste it to their browser's URL bar. I am at a loss for how to get the CONFIRM url WITHOUT the leading and trailing <br /> tags?

Can you advise on how to address this? I recognize that we're running an old version of CB at 2.11.0.

Thank you

[confirm] includes HTML. If you want just the URL use [confirm_url]. That should solve your issue.
