Ok, I believe this maybe just a CB Core Fields Ajax exclusive issue. Probably with how the editors aren't completely cleaning themselves up when destroyed due to the edit inputs being destroyed. Will investigate further and see if this broke somehow. This was fixed for TinyMCE so it's strange it's back again, but it's possible Joomla 5 or 6 changed the JavaScript.
