New site old blurry avatar thumbnails was created by huntrdog
Hello,I recently increased the Community Builder avatar image settings because we are redesigning our CB user lists to display larger card-style profile images. Is there a built-in feature or recommended method to reprocess existing avatar images so they conform to the new larger image and thumbnail settings? If not, what is the safest recommended workflow for downloading existing avatar images, resizing them offsite, and reuploading them without breaking CB’s image references or database records?Thank you.

We don't have any functionality for reprocessing avatars. As for downloading and resizing it offsite within /images/comprofiler you should find all the avatars. Every image beginning with "tn" is the thumbnail. The rest of the files name will match the full size image.

So what you can do is download all the non "tn" images, setup a batch image job in something like Affinity Studio to resize, then do a batch rename (e.g. if on Windows you can use PowerTools PowerRenamer) to prefix them with "tn", then upload and replace. You should then be all set. No database changes are necessary. Your browser will have the old images cached though most likely so be sure to refresh without cache.

Worked like a charm. I used photoshop to resize the tumbnails and MS Power Rename tool to add the prefix to the new thumbnail files.
