CB Subscription does not completed was created by nphic
Folks,

I'm having a problem with CB Subscriptions. Our website is www.nphic.org . If you click on the Join button on the top of the webpage, a CB Subscriptions plan page is presented. The form seems to work fine. After selecting the plan and filling out the information, a Loading... button appears. It stays there for quite a while and then I get this message:

Session expired or cookies are not enabled in your browser. Please press "reload page" in your browser, and enable cookies in your browser.

It's like it never completes the process. When I look in CB User Management, the person is there and assigned to the correct plan.

Any idea where I should be looking to resolve this issue?

Thanks,
Joe

Sounds like it's completing fine, but what's failing is whatever happens after that. Are you doing any specific logic within your plans after they subscribe? Either with CBSubs integrations or using CB Auto Actions?

Kyle,

Thanks! I think this maybe a bigger problem. I tried changing Error Level in Global Configuration to Maximum to see if I can see an error and the Save does not complete! It errors out saving the Global Configuration. Have you ever see anything like this happen?

Thanks,
Joe

Only time I've seen that is with a 3rd party system plugin causing fatal errors. Exposing the errors ended up locking the install due to the error preventing access to the form. Had to fix that directly in the configuration.php. If that's what's happening then it's something installed and loaded on or configured to apply to every page of the site. Typically system plugins are the best place to look for that.

Kyle,

Thanks! It turns out the issue was with the session save path in the php.ini. For some reason the ini file was trying to write to php7.4 folder when I had the PHP set to 8.3. Made the change in cpanel and it worked fine.

I'm still having issue with CB Subscriptions completing the join process. I'll open a different thread for that issue. Can you login and take a look at it?

Thanks,
Joe

Enable debug mode and maximum error reporting then go through registration like normal and see if anything logged in CBSubs > History Log. If not then review what you're doing at the time of someone subscribing. Either with CBSubs integration plugins or with something like CB Auto Actions as it sounds like your issue is happening after the subscription is created, which is when those integrations would apply.
