Can't find how to configure CBGallery was created by jabba84
Hello, I purchased and installed CB Gallery to give my users the ability to upload photos to display on their personal profiles.I would like a very simple configuration: in their profile editing area, I would like a “gallery” tab where they can simply upload photos and have them displayed on their frontend profile.

User details (only if logged):

Profile edit page (i can see al tabs but NOT gallery tab):

I tried to configure everything, but many things in this documentation ( www.joomlapolis.com/documentation/316-cb-gallery/318-reference-guide/18665-cb-gallery-tab-configuration ) seem to no longer be valid. Now I find myself in this situation: on the “profile edit” page, there is no way to manage galleries, but I can do so (by creating new albums, etc.) from the frontend if I am logged in.Where can I find step-by-step tutorials on how to best set up this plugin?Thank you.

CB Gallery doesn't upload from profile edit. You upload from your profile directly by clicking "Share Media". You should see a window appear to drag and drop or click and select the media you want to share.

You can move the gallery tab wherever you like by editing it in CB > Tab Management as its location is up to you in regard to where it displays on profile.

To adjust the features available to the gallery navigate to CB Gallery > Galleries in Joomla backend then edit the Profile Gallery gallery and adjust whatever settings you like.

I've added a feature ticket to review adding support for sharing during profile edit, but it's substantially more user friendly to do so from profile directly.

Thanks for your answer.
Being able to edit images from "profile edit" page seems more intuitive for me. Now ppl need to go to two differenti pages to edit the profile.
Is possibile to add a menu item that goes directly to the gallery management? So i can at least add a button that lands to user's images.
Thanks again!

I could understand if it was say an image field, which makes sense from profile edit, but this is a full gallery. I don't think I've ever seen a gallery on social media sites be managed from profile edit, but regardless have added a feature ticket to allow for this in a future release to at least allow sharing from profile edit. Not sure on the design of that yet, but will likely just copy how it's done in Article Edit when using CB Gallery Bot. A great combination is CB Core Fields Ajax then users can edit their profile directly from profile view and won't have to leave it at all.

Yes, you can create a Joomla menu item to CB Gallery. Use a Menu Type of Community Builder > Plugin then for Plugin select CB Gallery followed by selecting Profile Gallery for the gallery and you're done.

Ok thanks, maybe mine is just a particular case. I use CB as a directory: store owners registers to have their store listed and every store have info and (about this topic) a gallery, that's why i like the user to edit their own public page in the edit section only.
Anyway thanks, i'll setup everythig with the menu item.
Thanks again

Ah, that makes more sense. Ok, well it's certainly planned for a future release. Hopefully the menu setup will work for you for the time being as I don't have a timeframe for when this will be implemented.
