I had a similar problem in RC1, but it's still not working in RC2. Whenever non-admin registered users try to update their image (either selecting one of the little icons or uploading a picture), they get a message that reads the following right after clicking the button to select or upload:

"You are not authorized to view this resource."

It's a shame, too... the new simpleboard integration that allows the use of the CB avatars would really rock.

Thanks,

Bryan

The link to update a profile should be set to registered user level. Please check if yours is.

It is, yes. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to get to the profile at all. It's only when I actually try to save the avatar that I get the message. I can even get to the page to select one of the little icons or upload.

Instead of the confirmation page, I get the unauthorized error, and the avatar never gets updated or saved.

Had a similar problem with RC1 and non admins updating images, but I couldn't even get to the first image page before getting the unauthorized message. This version gets me a tad further.

I saw lots of messages about this problem on Mambojoe.com, but no solutions. Then someone said it's a bug that would be fixed in RC2.

Yep, I looked at everything. Everything is set right, but it still won't let me add photos for regular registered users.

Anybody got the solution to this one?

Did anybody find a solution to this problem? Regular users (non admin) are not authorized to change their photo in their profile.

Sounds like you have a permissions problem.
Make sure that your images/comprofiler folder is set to 777.
