Banning users doesn't work

Ok - lets test.

I have banned khdiss profile (no offense will unbann afterwards).

This means that when all non-moderators try to view this profile:

www.joomlapolis.com/component/option,com_comprofiler/task,userProfile/user,8580/

they should see a message stating that the profile is banned.

Please verify this on this thread B)

Well ounce again

My site is installed on a Joomla 1.08 Stable version with a CB version 1.0 RC2

And guess what, the same Banning function that you have shown working so well in this site doesn

You should upgrade from 1.0 RC2 to 1.0.1 for security reasons and perhaps this problem will also be fixed.

Hey friends. I'm now encountering spam so I've had to ban some profiles. BUT the ban is not working. IN FACT, when I logged in to a test profile which I banned, I was actually ABLE TO SEND PRIVATE MESSAGES even though it says the profile is banned.

I have the most recent version of CB and also joomla.

Any new news on this?

You need to BLOCK the user so he can't even login from backend. Frontend Banning means make his profile invisible to others.
