Hi

Check my post above.

In my installation they talk to eacher. You just have to define the correct login in Joomlawiki:

index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=login

It works for me so why wouldn't it work for you?

I'm using Joomla 1.5.3 and the latest CB

Hi iamalive,

Are you using https? I'm not on 1.5.3 yet.

Thanks.

SSL shouldn't make a difference, nor should SEF or 1.0 vs 1.5. The urls are all the same for each (and SEF just translates the url to SEF). The only thing I can think of that may give you problems is if you have a redirect from that URL somewhere in the program or on your server or if SEF isn't translating the string correctly.

Where does it redirect you when you change the login string? Does it give you any errors?

Hi,

Well, it IS true that I may need to modify my httpd.conf file. I have other applications running on this web server and it HAS been difficult to separate the functions. HOWEVER, a guest user sees the wiki with all its glorious defaults, BUT a logged in user (front end and of course back end) just sees the message saying (s)he must login and then, of course, I'm having trouble with that "login url" (which is a separate and likely a solvable issue). So the question remains why doesn't the wiki application know that a person is logged in? And why can a non-logged in user see the wiki, but not a logged-in user.

I can't answer your question. Obviously it has something to do with the way you have set up the components. I did have a bit of difficulty at the beginning, but as soons as I solved where to add the login link in Joomlawiki as per my previous post, all the problems went away.

I'll have a quick look at your setup if you like, if you give me admin rights and and pm me the info. I can't help otherwise.

Regards

Thanks. I have just installed 1.5.3 on a test server and am going to try the two components there. I will consider your offer, but probably not before next week.
