EU B2B VAT validation is not working

EU B2B VAT validation is not working was created by thanili
I have got an issue on configuring VAT for B2B (EU country) on CBSubs. I have followed the instructions described in this post:

In order to configure VAT (B2C, B2B) for EU and non EU countries, however CBSubs does not seem to work for B2B in EU (check VAT and if valid set it to zero).
- It is supposed that VAT should be zero for EU countries (B2B only)
- Also VAT VIES validation does not seem to work!
Could you please take a look at my DEV website?

Also, are there any sample VAT ids for testing purposes?

OK! I am using a valid Cyprus VAT in order to test VIES integration and in the history log i am receiving the following error:
EU VAT VIES error condition: "INVALID_REQUESTER_INFO" for request on VAT: "CY10313153G", faultcode: "

and in the following history log entry there is the vat_verification json string:
ANY IDEAS about what is causing the error?

Finally the error seem to be cause by a blank space between coutry code + vat id in the field:
Seller EU Tax id starting with 2 country letters: ELXXXXXXXXX
initially it was set as: EL XXXXXXXXX
!!! Please write a remark in field's explanation text !!! or trim it in code out of blank spaces ...

Thanks for the suggestion!
Removing whitespaces is a good, userfriendly, idea, although normally the VAT codes are a single word, it is certainly nerving for users inputting spaces that it doesn't recognize the VAT. Logged this idea with #4621 for one of next CBSubs versions.
