Changing plan validity period and effect on renewal fees for expired subs

1 year 8 months ago #330072 by OEVAtechnology
Hello,

I added the text "50% Discount" in the field: "Text to highlight promotion on plan (e.g. SALE!)"

Other than that everything is configured as you suggested.

This is a plan that had a different validity period before ($50 first year & $100 annually). I had changed it to $100 calendar year with a 50% discount for this year.

I am not sure if such a change would throw thing off?

Strange, not sure what to suggest. At least the promotion is working at basket, but it should absolutely be changing the renewal buttons text. Below is what I see with the configured explained earlier.

You can PM backend super user login credentials and I can take a look if you like. My guess is my promotion and yours may have a few different settings possibly.

Ok, it looks like it's due to "End date of validity of this promotion" since the plans actual renewal date is outside the date specified there it doesn't display the discount in the renewal button but the discount applies when renewed in advance. This may or may not be intended behavior though. Have added a bug ticket for further investigation.

OK.

In the meantime I can do a work-around by extending the validity period of the promotion to an earlier date.

That's enough for me to deal with the current situation.

Thank you so much for looking in to it.
