User-Initiated Password Reset Form?

User-Initiated Password Reset Form? was created by visiblerestraint
Sorry if I'm missing this.  I don't see my answer in the forums.

I use CB Paid Subscriptions to handle user management - so native Joomla registration is turned off. Is it still possible for users to initiate a password change on their own?  What's the process for setting up that capability?

Thank you in advance!

They can change their password from their CB profile edit by editing the password field. If you mean reset the password without logging in then you should see the forgot login link to do that in your CB Login Module.

I'm SO SORRY to ask this follow-up question but it's been a long time since I set up the User Profile page.  It currently DOESN'T HAVE A PASSWORD FIELD ON IT and I want to add that.  I can't remember where I do that.  Again - PROFUSE apologies.  I looked in the manual and all I found was a mention that user profiles can be set up - not where to do that.

Sorry!  I figured out where I add the password to the profile page.  I checked the appropriate box but when I brought a profile up (my profile) it wasn't editable...   What am I doing wrong?  Sorry again.

If the password field isn't editable then you can toggle that on in CB > Field Management by editing the password field and setting it to display on profile edit. Also be sure it's not set to readonly. Be sure it's also on a tab that's accessible to the user (e.g. default is Contact Info).

No need to apologize. I'm here to help! Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
