Renewal Discount Skip if FREE

Hi team,

I am trying to setup a free trial period, followed by 1st payment (technically considered a renewal), followed by discounted 2nd renewal payment (technically 1st actual payment) + ongoing renewals.
I have the plan set to different 1st period and price.... using options such as 0|199, 0|299 etc... 

I have a promotion that applies to all purchases, so users get a 50% discount on all renewals.Applies to registrations = NO
 
Applies to upgrades = NO
 
Applies to renewals = YES
 And is discounted from basket orders' amounts for:
Single payment (and for autorecurring payments subscriptions: First payment amount) = YES
 
For Autorecurring payments subscriptions only: Second and following auto-recurring payments amounts = NO
However, I cannot figure out how to account for the 1st payment NOT being an actual payment since it's free. Here's the desired result:
1. Free trial
2. Initial Payment (full price)
3. 50% Discount Applied to All Renewals (after free trial + initial payment)

Can you please advise how to achieve this? As is, it is discounting the initial actual payment (not the trial). This results in a discount on the very first actual payment which is not what we want. Thank you

Set "Single payment (and for autorecurring payments subscriptions: First payment amount)" to "No" so it stops applying to first payment. That parameter is solely responsible for single payments AND first payment of recurring subscriptions. So once set to "No" it should mean the coupon only applies to the recurring portion.
