Okay. Do you know approx. time frame for a possible fix? I will need to let my boss know how long our members may be confused over this for.

No, I don't have a timeframe for a fix at this time. The emails workflows need to be improved in CBSubs directly so it'll make sense as to what emails should send and when. You can use substitutions in the emails though so you maybe able to adjust what the email says based off an IF substitution.

Ok so I did some reading on the IF substitutions.

What would my formula be if I wanted text to show up if user=paid?

You'd need to use a CB Query Field to check if their subscription is active using a database query on _cbsubs_subscriptions. You could then condition against the query field using the IF substitution.
