[GROUPJIVE] Page error after try to create a group (limited at 3 by users)

3 years 9 months ago - 3 years 9 months ago #319713 by Julien04
Hello,

I have just deactivated the SEO of Joomla and the redirect is done on the GroupJive Category page containing the error:

You do not have sufficient permissions to create a group.
This category must not exist.

Enabling SEO Joomla seems to be the cause :)

https://www.MY_DOMAIN.fr/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&view=pluginclass&plugin=cbgroupjive&action=categories&func=all&Itemid=1468

I send screenshoot of my SEO Configuration

Link of ItemMenu to Create a new group :

index.php?option=com_comprofiler&view=pluginclass&plugin=cbgroupjive&action=newgroup

Thanks !

What Joomla menu item is associated with the Itemid 1468? Is it actually a Joomla menu item to CB GroupJives All Categories page or something else?

This category must not exist.

This would mean it's trying to redirect to the category you're trying to create a group in, but the category doesn't exist. Was a category selected from the category dropdown?

Hello !

Thanks for your reply Kyle !

I just came back from holidays.. :)

The Joomla Itemid 1468 menu item links to:

Plugin CB> CB GroupJive> New Group

link: index.php? option = com_comprofiler & view = pluginclass & plugin = cbgroupjive & action = newgroup

And not all categories.

This link leads directly to the page to create a new group.

I attach Screenshoots.

Thanks!

Looks like you're getting stuck in a loop due to that being your only Joomla menu item to CB GroupJive causing Joomla to try and route back to it based off the Itemid. Create a Joomla menu item to CB GroupJive All Categories page then turn SEO back on and see if that fixes the redirect loop. Note this menu item doesn't need to be on a menu module and can just be under a new menu type that isn't assigned to a module if you don't want it actually visible on your menu.

Thank you for your reply but that doesn't change anything.

I created a joomla item linked to CB Groupjive All categories in the same menu to test.

SEO activation still creates the error.

I notice a new thing.

When I click back on the error page and click on any CB Groupjive link in this menu, the error: You do not have sufficient rights to create this group appears.

Like a delay.

Another related thing, I created an item joomla Plugin> CB Groupjive> Message Group in an other Menu and the same error appears.

Please PM backend super administrator login credentials and will take a look. Something is wrong with your menus as it's not able to go to a general GJ menu item when access fails, which it should be doing. This all appears to work fine locally and on our demo site so must be a menu case I've not yet covered in testing.
