Multiselector attribute modif. How to ? was created by tramber91
Hi
Small question to be sure how de proceed
I have an User profil attribute with multi selection (Check box) - Cases à cocher (Multiple) in french
I need to modify some values and add some values in this attribute
In my attrubute I can only, add, remove, modify attribute values
What's happenned in database if I delete value ?
Do I need to Clean database after complete values modification of my Profil attribute ?

Thanks for your support to the right way how to proceed ?

A options fields (e.g. select, multi-select, mult-checkbox, radio, etc..) options are verified on display. So if you remove an option it will still be stored in the database for the user, but it won't display on profile. On next profile save it will be removed. Modifying an existing option will cause a mismatch if you change the value so it'd behave the same as if it was removed. Adding a new option won't cause any issues as it's just another option for them to select.
