CB and J2Commerce

I am working on a marketplace project using J2Commerce Marketplace and I have an issue that i hope CB can help resolve.  Without a long explanation I need to limit users access to images.  Each vendor should have an image folder to store and retrieve their product images and that folder would not be accessible to any other users for product creation or edits.  All images would show publicly in products on the front page of the site.
Is this something that CB might help with?

So you're wanting to limit access to a specific folder per user in Joomla's media manager? CB doesn't provide anything like that. I'm not sure Joomla even has a way of doing that. Someone asked similar on Github where a 3rd party plugin was offered that might help.

If you have a way of replacing the J2Commerce media rendering entirely then you might be able to replace it with CB Gallery, which has server side secured media access and user isolated uploading. I don't know enough about J2Commerce to recommend anything further, sorry. Does it support custom Joomla fields? If so I can see about making a Joomla fieldtype plugin for CB Gallery then that should work.
