CB Facebook Connect 1.1 Released

Don't understand what you're asking. It's not based off name. I was just trying to make an example. It's purely based off the fb_userid field. If you have User1 who has your fb_userid stored then you can't synchronize User2 with your Facebook account. You have an existing Facebook user on your site already so you can't link or create a new one.

The facebook did create a user whilst my site was on test... but then I deleted that user..

Where in the local DB are the facebook user linked details stored? If not in the DB then how can I reset the link?

ThanX Kymmy

[edit]

Never mind as I found it.... Deleted the user in jos_comprofiler and everything then worked perfectly...

Not sure how I deleted the original user but although not showing in any of the user managers (joomla/CB/Kunena) the deleted users are still in the JOS_COMPROFILER.. Is this a bug I should report as it will cause problems with plugins such as facebook..

Many thanX for your help

More then likely you deleted them via Joomlas user manager instead of CBs user management. Doing this will cause the user to not appear in any of the managers, but remain in CBs database. Running synchronize tool within CB will clear those broken users. Not a bug of CB or FBC.

Please ensure you've configured the CB login module to use CB plugin integrations. The CB login module is required on all pages you intended to use FBC. Please review the documentation closely. Also ensure your installation is completely up to date and running CB 1.2.3 (this includes the module).

Thank you for the response. I've run through the documentation thoroughly. I respect your time and wouldn't bug you if i couldn't find the answer there. I've tried many things to get this to work before coming to the forums :D

The integration option has been on from the start. CB 1.2.3 is installed on Joomla Version 1.5.16 (The FBC plugin docs say Joomla 1.5.X)

CBlogin module is running on the home page
<jdoc:include type="module" name="mod_cblogin" />
homepage but the facebook login does not show.

Only the direct path to /comprofiler/login shows the facebook login and includes the scripts in view source.

I'm continually toying with this, and again, thank you for any help and direction you can provide.

Do you have an example of where this is working?

Your login module appears modified and am not able to re-install CB 1.2.3 module due to a server side error on your site. Please re-install CB 1.2.3 entirely (just install it over your existing CB ) to ensure you have no core modifications. You also should upgrade Joomla as you're on J1.5.16 and the latest is J1.5.20.

Hi, I followed all the steps.

When I click on the button opens the pop-up but then nothing happens. Reload the page, and stop:S
