oldschool payments

oldschool payments was created by Dougj
over the weekend we had a membership drive. As a result I got a bunch of cheques and cash as membership payments. I had all those people complete forms with all the info I need to register them with CB so I manually created their accounts myself from the front end, did all the approving and them processed their payment thru the front end and finally the back end.
Thats a whack of manual work for me.

Also I have some people that do not have computers so entering an email address for the registration process is impossible.

Is there a way in CB Subs that I can add a payment manually for

1) people that pay me offline so that I do not need to visit all those pages to enter their info?
2) someone that does not have a computer?

Thanks D.

The process you're doing now is the correct process. I don't have any other process to suggest. If you give them a subscription from backend it bypasses the payment gateway and basket so you won't be able to log check number with the purchase for example, but if that's not an issue you can just give them their subscription when creating them from backend.

As for the email issue the best you can do is give them a dummy email that doesn't work. Example as follows.

bob@mysite.invalid
