The hosting setup must not be the same for whatever reason. The JS failing is not only CBs, but also Joomlas as well. All JS is failing due to your hosters gzip responding with the wrong content-type. This is entirely hoster related and can only be fixed at the host. CB and Joomla have no control over this.
