This is so damn frustrating.
All I want i to have my Leader users have their own category where they can create their own threads etc. and the other users nt be able to see them.
So far I've killed the whole site.
I've created Orphaned categories.
God knows what else I've broken.

Good thing I'm only on a dev site.
so, PLEASE, how do I configure this system to allow users of the leaders group, create their own threads in their own category.
I watched your video and read your ebook. nothing helps.

I don't know what more to tell you. It's as simple as follows.

1. Publish "Kunena - Community Builder Integration" in Components > Kunena Forums > Plugins
2. Create "Groups" in Components > Kunena Forums > Categories
3. Set "Category" to "Groups" in CB > Plugin Management > CB GroupJive Forums > Parameters > General

That's it. Now when you create GJ categories or groups it will create its forum categories in the "Groups" category. If you've existing categories or groups then simply re-save them and it'll create their forums. For example if I created the following.

In GJ:
Category 001
- - Group 001

In Kunena:
Groups
- - Category 001
- - - - Group 001

If I am the owner of Group 001 or I have joined it then I can see and post in its forum. If I have not joined it and I am not the owner I won't even be able to see it in Kunena. If I pass the ACL check (e.g. Registered, Public, etc..) for Category 001 then I can access its forum (this is entirely ACL based).
