I now go to the Kunena category and look at access control.
Community Builder is now there. But I don't see GroupJive. Shouldn't it be there?

We also have a GroupJive primer you can download

ok I've had a look through and worked through your video and reproduced it all.
The problem I can see is that we are adding this GroupJive to the system a few years after the site has been launched.
We have a Kunena forum with Thousands of Conversations(Topic) and Comments(messages) that are linked to each.
We also have 3-4 different user groups that all members are in the Members Group, then there are Leaders, and Facilitators.
These are Joomla/CB groups.
What we are trying to do is set up the system with GroupJive so that all the Thought Leaders could have their own conversations that the Members can't see.
I am not seeing in your video where I can specify which user groups have access to specific Forum Categories.
so, for example Member1 sees the forum list but not the Conversations started for the Leaders.

I also forgot to mention that we are using Kunena 4.0.11
Not the latest version, and can't be upgraded because of the heavy modifications that were needed.
Does the current GroupJive system work with 4.0.11?

As long as the structure of your existing Kunena categories 1:1 matches GJ then you can edit the GJ categories and groups in backend and manually specify the Kunena category id. It'll correct the access on save. Example as follows.

Kunena:
Groups
- - Category 001
- - - - Group 001

GJ:
Category 001
- - Group 001

With the above you'd map the "Category 001" Kunena category ID to the GJ "Category 001". Same for "Group 001". Within GJ Forums you'd have "Groups" selected as the top level category.

Does the current GroupJive system work with 4.0.11?

Probably, but I don't recall anymore. Only Kunena 5 is being tested now. However, the API has been unchanged as far as I'm aware.

But I'm still missing, how to set a specific group of users to be able to access a specific category.

GJ category froums are controlled entirely by ACL. So if the GJ category is set to Registered then so is the froum category for it. For groups you can only access their forum category if you are actively in the group. Please watch the video below carefully.

If still unsure how to configure this then please read the GJ primer carefully. Configuring of the Kunena integration with GJ is detailed in both.

www.joomlapolis.com/downloads/documents

GJ is meant to create these forum categories on its own when the GJ category or group is created. I've no idea how well this will even work with pre-existing forum categories that you're trying to make GJ use as you can assign the Forum ID in backend edit of GJ category and group, but the forums must follow the appropriate structure.
