sorry, but I'm still working on that gallery field for files. I created a field cb_dateien and I set all privacy rules of this field to denied, except "connections". But if someone is loading up a file in this gallery field the selectlist still contains the option "public". What going wrong?
Frankly I don't know at this point. I'm roughly 85% complete with the rewrite of CB Gallery. So all of that old code is completely gone. The current release of CB Gallery reloads galleries in a pretty poorly constructed way so it will have a hard time finding its parameters sometimes. The best I recommend is doing something like the following.
1. Create a Gallery field
2. Leave its Asset alone
3. Create a CB Gallery Module and set its Asset to profile.%.field.FIELD_ID_HERE
FIELD_ID_HERE should be the ID of the field created in step 1. That SHOULD allow parameters to be pulled from the field. It may not 100% work though as the current release of CB Gallery was primarily intended to be used as profile tabs and fields and doesn't work so well externally. CB Gallery 3.0 however has true gallery objects and works literally anywhere.
If I set "connections" as standard in the global display configuration of privacy then it works, but not just for the field
That could work, but it will impact all privacy selectors.
