Edit wherever the gallery exists (e.g. Gallery tab) and adjust its CB Privacy settings. You can disable individual privacy rules and even set a default privacy rule. Individual gallery entries don't actually have access you're just setting a privacy rule for them.

Yes, ok, privacy is possible for fields or tabs. But I created menu item "upload files", and there are no privacy settings visible. And I created also a menu item to access this gallery. So I didn't find a way to play with privacy settings. Or am I on the wrong way?

Unfortunately it wasn't possible for CB Privacy to extend those parameters so it's not possible to configure them for menu or module based galleries. It will be in for CB Gallery 3.0 since the configuration will be centralized. Only workaround is to use a field and subsequently a field based Asset to try and force it to load the fields parameters.

Ok Kyle, thank you for your help. I will try it for now this way and I will await hopeful when CB Gallery 3.0 is available. I think, CB Gallery 3.0 will be another milestone in the history of CB.

It really depends on the asset. If you're using an asset of "profile.%" for example to display profile gallery entries it can pull the parameters from the gallery tab. If using "profile.%.field.FIELD_ID" to display a specific field for all profiles it will pull its parameters from that field. Those are the pretty limited cases where you'll be able to override those CB Privacy parameters easily in the current release of CB Gallery.

I think, CB Gallery 3.0 will be another milestone in the history of CB.

I sure hope so! A lot of work has gone into substantially improving it. It doesn't even have page loads anymore. It's entirely inline navigated now. Including searching inline.
