I know...strange isn't it?

Photogallery_1_2_RC2 installed no problem from the beginning, so when I tried to install it again it said that i already had it.

This is the only plugin that has worked. Anything else give me that error message.

Ok... I think we're missing something here. You can't install a plugin over itself. Did you checkmark it in CB Plugin Manager and hit Delete before attempting to install it again?

If so, and it still said something was already installed at that location, did you delete both the /component/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbprofilegallery and /administrator/component/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbprofilegallery directories... then try again to reinstall?

I really don't know what to say right now.....

I wiped everything off my server....went back to square one.

Installed Joomla.
Installed CB 1.2.1 ( Have no clue where this CB 1.2 RC download is)

Followed the instructions.

Tried to install the CB Profilebook 1.2 RC2 and I got the same error.....

What could possibly be the answer???!!!

I spoke to Beat and he confirmed my suspicion that it's probably a server issue. I think it's probably best to discuss it with your host.

I'm interested in what a phpinfo(); report would show if compared to one of a server that is working.

Perhaps make a phpinfo.php file on your website, with the code:
[code:1]<?php
phpinfo();
?>
[/code:1]

and maybe post the URL here, just for the record.

Example URL: www.yoursite.com/phpinfo.php

Cool. Not sure what I'm looking for, but was going to compare yours with mine. However I need to install the same plugin that you're installing, and haven't had a chance to do that.

Perhaps someone here is using the same plugin, and wouldn't mind posting their phpinfo report, and maybe comparing the two reports that something can be found regarding 'xml' that is disabled.

---

Edit:
I'm on a brand new setup of Joomla 1.5.10, with CB 1.2.1, and I just tried to install plug_cbprofilebook_1_2_RC2.zip and it won't install. I get a red bar message that says "Error! Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package."

Hard for me to troubleshoot if I can't even get it installed. ;)
