Thanks, that was the issue as I had the template set to registered not realising that this controlled the layout of the signup page.

I have now learnt quite a but about CB so thanks for all your help. 

P.S. I tried to contribute to the cause by paying for "footer removal" (although I don't intend to remove it) but your website will not allow this payment or a contribution, without selecting a level of professional membership which I do not need.

That should be fixed now. The buy buttons weren't very well setup for existing users, sorry about that.
