hi guys,

had some trouble with captcha myself.

in my case the captcha didn't show up because there was an empty space after the end tag of the cb language.php. (error can show up in other cb phps too)



deleted the empty space by editing the language.php in weaverslave (...or any other php editor...), and the image showed up again.

Perhaps this might help you, tho it's not directly connected with the upgrade)

I'm not much of a coder...so where exactly would I be looking within the "default_language.php" file to verify this?

1. Open the default_language.php with a php editor NOT in a text editor (you won't see the blank line there!)

2. scroll to the end of the script, if it looks like in the image shown in my last post you have to delete the lines after the end tag "?>" (in the example in the last post this would be line 1543) so that it looks like that:



3. Save the file

4. Hopefully your captcha image will appear...

Doesn't work for me, I still can't see the image.

ok, two additions:

1. it's not just a blank line after the end tag that makes the image disappear but also a blank line before the start tag

2. it's not just about the default_language.php of cb but also about the cb.captcha.php and even the joomla (!) language php (e.g. german.php) in the root directory (I tested it a minute ago)

try it and let me know...
