Is it possible to create a field which is PHP code that gets interpreted when a page is rendered?
Is this something that can be accomplished with a plugin?
I'd like to create a new field that displays icons in the member list. For example:
if (user has a blog) { show clickable blog icon }
if (user has an image gallery) { show clickable gallery icon }
etc.
Not all members have a blog, and not all members have image galleries. There are also new applications planned for the future which we'd like to add icons for.

Yes, with a new fieldtype plugin.Is this something that can be accomplished with a plugin?
Have you tried IF substitutions in a delimiter field? Please see tutorials within signature concerning substitution usage.I'd like to create a new field that displays icons in the member list. For example:
