SAVE button not working in User Mgt section

CB 1.3.1
Joomla 1.5.22

When I click on Save in the User Management section when editing a User profile, it takes me to the "Powered by Community Builder" information screen. (The same page you get to when you click on Components...Community Builder.) The changes are not saved.

I can make and save changes through the front end but not the back end.

I've run all of the Check Database tools in CB and everything checks out fine.

It was working earlier. Any ideas what could be causing this?

If I need to re-install CB, can I upload the files over the existing ones and retain all of my data, or do I have to start from scratch?

You can reinstall CB 1.3.1 if you want without losing any data.

But I do not think that will fix your issue.

Sounds like something you installed is breaking javascript in backend - do you see any javascript errors there?
