Tried a fresh install on Joomla and got this Error: Could not find a Joomla XML setup file in the package.

Any help is appreciated.

Are you installing the component or the plugin?

Are you installing through Joomla installer or the CB plugin installer?

Is there a file marked *.xml in the package?

I was attempting to install the plugin GJ1-6.

Initially, i used the joomla installer. Your question prompted me to try the CB installer - It installed successfully - apparently, however, now I receive this run time error:

DB function failed with error number 1146
Table 'haludev_joom1.jos_gj_users' doesn't exist SQL=SELECT id_group FROM jos_gj_users WHERE id_user = 63 AND status = "active"

I'm pretty new to all of this, but this is the first real snag I've hit so far.......
