IDEAL (Dutch) payment gateway was created by ad18
Hi,
I'm trying to integrate a CBsubs, Joomla, Virtuemart, MulitiSafepay webshop. I had the idea that I would be able to perform the Ideal (Dutch standard) payment process through Virtuemart and Multisafepay. As far as I can see this seems not to be that simple.
However I have read a topic about the development of a Ideal API in order to make a bridge between CBsubs and an Ideal payment gateway.
Does anyone the status of this development?

We've not made any development on such payment gateway. We promised no such development either. We've simply added the gateway to our list of requested gateways. This does not guarantee implementation. We will be reviewing further gateway integrations once CBSubs 1.1 has been released (sorry do not have release date).Does anyone the status of this development?

There is no API documentation or API available at this time. It is not possible to create integrations for CBSubs until we've the API and documentation prepared and provided (should be with next release). With next release we'll also be providing support for "Ogone" payment gateway which is an international gateway that should be acceptable for anyones needs. Please see statement as follows.

Thanks for your reply. I will check ont he progress of that version once in a while then.
Just a short note on Ogone.
I am familiar with Ogone. You should know it's not exactly "acceptable for everyone's needs" as many iDEAL users find the start up costs and monthly costs to high, and sometimes even overkill.
Mostly they prefer (1) a direct contract with the bank, not a PSP or (2) a more cost effective PSP like Mollie.nl (no start up or monthly costs, only 99 cents per transaction). Both options I just mentioned are supported by cciDEAL Platform.
You will make some users happy with at least an Ogone implementation, but not most of them. If any Dutch users are reading this, feel free to confirm.

I see, agreed. You'll be able to integrate your extension once the API has become available. Sorry, but I do not have a timeframe for this.
