[SOLVED] CB 1.2.1 Manager Access Error was created by SoulieBaby
Hi all, I'm running Joomla 1.5 and CB 1.2.1 and I need CB to allow Manager access to the component.

Currently when I login as a Manager, I get this error when trying to click on the Community Builder menu:

You are not authorized to view this page!

Could someone please let me know how I can give access to a manager? I've tried following an older post to get this to work, but to no avail..

Cheers

In Joomla backend? Backend requires administrator privileges.

I gathered that, but if a Manager can log into the backend, how can I edit the code to give access to that level?

Does Manager have access to Joomla User management?

CB uses Joomla's ACL system at multiple places to determine if a level can edit users in backend.

More precisely the permission "canManageUsers".

You need to change that in Joomla, in Joomla 1.5 that will be a hack in the PHP file defining that ACL level. Just search for that string canManageUsers in Joomla.

Use Joomla forums too, probably problem has been addressed there.

Joomla 1.6's ACL will solve those issues.
