Sorry, but I'm not quite sure what you are asking...

There is no access for users to upload media.
The text link to User System does not appear in the bottom left corner of the gallery and the user menu link to Upload Media is there but results in the you are unauthorized message.

If you are logged in as admin its fine.

I'm having the same problem.

Hmm my only suggestion is checking of you have the zoom permissions in backend set correctly ?

Im sure they have more suggestions on the zoom forums ?

I set the permissions right to alle registrated people.
I will try to find an answer in the zoom forums.

Well there is definitely something going on here...

From a fresh install of the component, no user system link.

I Just went into CVS ( developer.joomla.org/integration/viewcvs/viewcvs.cgi/zoom/?root=zoom&system=exsy1001 ) and grabbed only the latest files, replaced the ones on my server and now the User System link is there.

I have not tracked the responsible file(s) down yet, but I only replaced the files that were updated 47 hours ago and 2 days ago.

I can rule out the zoom_config.php file, as running with the new one or my old one both still show me the User System link.

So far everything is running smoothly with the new files.

Also of note, my version number now shows 2.5 RC1 instead of 2.5b3.
