any php book (or tutorial downloaded from internet) is a good starter.

you also need to know html and javascript.

the 2 cb helloworld tutorials are nice (well i spent time on them).

studying good plugins is also cool (cb profilebook and cb gallery are nice).

setting up a nice local development environment is also needed.
