i've searched all forums to find the answer to this question. i have a long list of things i have tried. if anyone can help, i would be so greatly appreciative.

joomla 1.5.7
SEF on
plugin - cbmediaplayer

When i click "LAUNCH PLAYER IN NEW WINDOW TO SURF AND LISTEN" in the profile that is logged in, the player opens in pop-up and works fine.

when i click "LAUNCH PLAYER IN NEW WINDOW TO SURF AND LISTEN" in anyone else profile, a window pops-up and says - This profile does not exist or is no longer availalble.

I've tried removing the "-" in the url but that doesn't seem to work (i saw this in another post).

Can someone please help? i have attached a list of things I've tried.

Your first step should be to upgrade to CB 1.2 Stable, since the RC versions contained bugs that do not exist in the new version (along with some late-added features). Please follow the upgrade instructions carefully, including noting the minimum requirements.

Wow! Thanks for quick response! I have a duplicate site at mymojoenergy.com that I updated with 1.2 Stable last week. i'm having the same problem. :(

Would you happen to have other ideas?

Well, you can try disabling SEF to see if that's the cause.

Also check to make sure your database tables are populated. I just got done with a post that migrated his site and found the comprofiler table was empty.

But, your best bet might be contacting the developer of the plugin you're using. It may not be compatible with CB 1.2 or Joomla 1.5 (you can try enabling Joomla legacy plugin to check).

On a side note, you really should subscribe to the security thread on the Joomla site. We're up to 1.5.10 and most of the upgrades contain major security fixes.

I tried to turn off SEF. That made things worse.

DB Tables are populated.

i posted with the developer too.

I was hoping for possible insight over here when I saw in a previous cb post that someone else had the same problem.

I really appreciate your help. If you have any other ideas, I would always love to hear them.
