Who is online module: Horizontal was created by lennox
Hello, can anywhone change the cb online module, I need one with a horizontal view.

Like this:

Now online:
John,Mick,Mike,Tes,Tessa,Jolan,Dillen,

etc etc.
When the list is to long, the names must go on below the above names.

like:

Now online:
John,Mick,Mike,Tes,Tessa,Jolan,Dillen,
Henk, Johnen, Bul

It would be great if this function is enabled!

It's implemented as a unnumbered list <ul> exactly for that purpose among other accessibility concerns. You can format the list like you say in CSS in your site or CB template without any hacking...

Hi.

Hmm ... not sure who's wrong but as far as i know html and
css in matters for ul / li elements there is no chance to
break an ul formated list to be displayed in one row.

The online list is formated like:

- user1
- user2
- user3

You can override by styles if there should be a bullet or
other image displayed as list-symbol.

Btw, if you use "list-style-type: none;" make sure to
add "background-image: none" on the li's as some joomla
tamplates use that in il definition to add the list symbols.
That may a reason why on joomlapolis the ul denies it but it
still is shown.

But by css you can not force a list to be like

- user1 -user2 -user3

You do can shape the display of text insinde a li tag to be
nowrap and so on, but not on a bunch of li's.

But maybe i just have overseen the mayor clue. ;)

Phil.

Hi Phil_K,

What Beat is referring to is the display style attribute. If you apply that to the
  • tags of your list with a value of inline then you are golden. By default the display attribute has a value of list-item but can be overwritten and nicely wraps based on space.

  • Hope this helps! :P

NOTE: using brackets to represent html as the forum blocks it otherwise.
