Confirmation link not working correctly

18 years 1 month ago #6977 by hyle
HI, im kinda of CB noob here. Im not new to integrations though.

Ive been building a Mambo/CB/Gallery2/SMF/TNGenealogy site.
All is going very well. Gallery2,SMF seem to be working fine with CB. Ive spent many hours reading the forums to get this all to work.. Finally my first hickup.

My Setup
Mambo 4.5.3

Components:
Gallery2 2.0.11
Joomla-SMF Forum 1.1 RC1
Community Builder 1.0 RC 2 w/
*Gallery g2bridge
*Joomla-SMF Forum Auth joomla_smf_auth

Integration seems to be working very well.
Its a fresh site and I just started testing new user registration.

The CB registration config is set to:
Require Admin Approval: YES
Require Email Confirmation: YES

mod_cbloginrc2 is publish
mod_login is UNpublished.

Ok so...
1. new user requests account - works great
2. user recieves email with link - Works great
www.losdorados.org/mambo//index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=confirm&confirmcode=735b90b4568125ed6c3f678819b6e058
3. User clicks on link and gets..
Your account is not yet active. Please check your email and follow the instructions to complete the registration process.

4. Confirmation is never made therefore I have never recieved a new user to approve and nothing show in the CB workflow.

5. The user shows as unconfirmed and unapproved. If I manually confirm and approve everything is great.

The only thing that bugs me about the overall install is the //. There were a couple of the components that preconfigured the path during install with an uneditable line with mambo/ and I couldnt get rid of the extra /. but it appears to be working anyway.

Finally the big question... Is there a way to tell why im getting a login error instead of confirming the email link click through?

So close I can taste it.
Any help is appreciated.

Hyle

PS:I am totally impressed with the work you have created with Community builder.

Im simply using mambo 4.5.3h and CB 1.0rc2

i find the problem ... is the patch in index.php made by jomla smf forum.
i find a user registered and email aproved before i install the forum component

the solution ... unpatch the joomla/mambo source files from the component configuration.

is not a good solution but it works for now

sorry for my english

In the component->joomla-SMF forum-->configuration
The instalation TAB has several steps. Two of which are:
1) patch joomla
2) Patch SMF

* done [un-patch] Patch Joomla Source Files
If I select to un-patch what does this break?
